• Account data: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password when you register.
• Address data: sender and recipient addresses you enter for a shipment or save to your address book, including name, company, street address, city, province, postal code, phone, and email.
• Order data: package weight and dimensions, item descriptions, carrier and tracking numbers, pricing, and wallet transaction history.
• Payment data: a record of wallet top-ups and charges. If you pay by credit card, your card details are entered directly into our payment processor's (Stripe) hosted checkout page — Packtory never receives or stores your full card number.

We use the information above to operate the platform: to create and manage your account, generate accurate rate quotes, purchase and produce shipping labels with our carrier partners, process wallet top-ups and refunds, provide customer support, detect and prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

We share the minimum information necessary with shipping carriers (such as Canada Post, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and Purolator) solely to generate labels and fulfill your shipments, and with our payment processor to process card payments. Packtory does not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not share it for third-party advertising purposes.

Packtory stores account, address, and order data in a SQLite database on infrastructure we control. Passwords are stored as salted hashes, never in plain text. We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your data, but no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

We retain account and order records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet accounting, tax, and legal recordkeeping obligations.

You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any records we are legally required to retain.

Packtory uses a single, strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
